My connection to India did not begin for business reasons, but rather from the heart. I became interested in Indian culture, mentality, and way of thinking at an early age. What started as interest became something personal. Today, I often miss India.

I have met many Indian professionals and students. What always impresses me is their ambition, intelligence, and tremendous work ethic. Indians are highly qualified, analytically strong, and willing to work very hard to achieve their goals.

Perhaps it touches me so deeply because I once had to start over myself.

A few years ago, I founded a company together with an Indian partner from Pune. We had big plans. But the coronavirus pandemic was difficult for many companies including ours. The company did not survive this period. I had to reorient myself, reorganize, and find my own path.

This period taught me a lot. About perseverance. About courage. And about how important it is to keep pursuing your dream, even when things don’t work out.

During this phase, I started learning Hindi. Not out of obligation, but out of respect. Out of solidarity. And out of a desire to be closer to India not only professionally, but also culturally.

Over time, I realized how ambitious many Indians are. Until they can speak perfectly, they prefer not to speak at all. Until they reach C2 level, they don’t feel confident enough. This high standard is admirable but it can also slow them down.

That’s why I wrote the book “Deutsch sprechen ohne Angst” (Speaking German Without Fear) and dedicated it to India. The cover deliberately features the colors of the Indian national flag. It’s my small contribution, a simple method for learning German at home, without expensive courses and without the pressure to be perfect. The book is available on Amazon.

Today, I work with Indian professionals in the field of resume optimization and application strategy for the German job market. I have seen how many highly qualified people have had to leave Germany again, even though they deserve to stay.

I want to give something back to a country that means a lot to me and to people who are doing great things.
