How a Book Inspired Me to Write My Own
Sometimes inspiration doesn’t come from a grand plan, but from a single moment. For me, it was a book I bought more out of curiosity than strategically. A book about how to write and sell an eBook online using ChatGPT.
I read it without any great expectations. And that was precisely the point.
This book didn’t just show me how to write an eBook. Above all, it showed me that it’s even possible. Without a technical degree. Without complicated programs. Without years of preparation. Step by step, understandable, doable.
For the first time, I didn’t feel:
- „This is just more theory.“
- Instead, I thought: „I can actually do this.“
While reading, I realized that I’d been carrying something inside me for a long time. An idea that kept coming back: to help people speak German without fear. Not perfectly, not like school, but authentically. For everyday life. For conversations. For life in Germany.
Thanks to the clear instructions in this book, I began to organize my own thoughts. I understood how to structure content, how to write without getting blocked, and that a book doesn’t have to be perfect to be valuable.
Without this book, I very likely would never have written my own book, „Speaking German Without Fear.“ Not because I couldn’t, but because I would have lacked that final push. That quiet „You can begin.“
I am truly grateful that I bought this book. Grateful that I read it. And grateful for the simple, clear instructions that helped me not only think about my own ideas but also write them down.
Today, my own book lies before me. It’s real. And every time I see it, I know: Sometimes, a single book is all it takes to find the courage to take your own voice seriously.
Perhaps that is precisely the greatest value of such books. They don’t just impart knowledge, but also confidence. In oneself. In one’s own idea. And in taking the first step.
